Overview
Branding is not just your school’s logo, it’s how the logo, colors, typography, imagery, messaging and customer service consistently communicate the core values of your institution. It represents your ability to deliver on what you promised.

From our assessment, Riverside Virtual School (RVS) offers a unique virtual learning modality that accommodates each grade level. The challenge is to develop a brand identity that’s engaging and encourages students and parents to feel connected—even from a distance. Consistently communicating brand values and maintaining positive brand perception through communications will be key for these long term relationships and student success.

LYON will help RVS discover and build their brand identity and provide creative assets that set the foundation for the future. 

 
 

Our CREATIVE Process

 
 
 
  1. RESEARCH

We will start by evaluating current brand identity strengths and weaknesses. A thorough review of key demographic data and other client-provided information will be conducted. Discovery and insight meetings with key stakeholders will be scheduled as needed. The main goal in the research phase is to identify the values, voice, personality and message of RVS.

 

 

2. IDEATION

Once we establish the values, voice, personality and message for RVS—the creative process will begin. This includes developing rough concepts (stylescapes) that visually communicate those ideas. Stylescapes serve as measuring sticks for the client’s visual preferences. Our extensive experience in education—and marketing to students and parents will be valuable as we explore different stylescape concepts. The chosen stylescape will inform the visual identity and creative direction moving forward. Here are some stylescape examples.

 

 

3. Design

Logo design will be based on stylescapes and client feedback will be vital during this phase. Each logo will be tested to ensure legibility and scalability for various applications and various color options will be provided.

 

 

4. Deliverables

The following deliverables will be provided:

  1. RVS logo system: Client will choose from three provided logo sets. The logo sets will contain one overarching brand mark and three sub brand marks to uniquely identify each respective grade level (elementary, middle school and high school).

  2. Brand launch website: A mobile responsive web experience will be provided to introduce the RVS brand. Web hosting will provided for 12 months. Sample: mlkhsbrand.com

Total project investment: $20,000

Project is estimated to be completed in three months. Project timeline can be expedited per client’s request.

Please note other creative services can be requested as needed: copywriting, photography, videography, brochures, digital marketing, social media marketing, etc.
